Director, Finance Business Partner

Description

The Director, Finance Business Partner provides strategic financial leadership and serves as a trusted adviser to function leadership, partnering on cost management, investment strategies, and key financial decisions. This role leads end-to-end financial planning and forecasting, delivers insightful analysis and performance reporting, and drives continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and reporting. Through close collaboration with senior stakeholders, the role translates financial data into actionable insights that support effective financial planning and inform critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Forecasting?

• Lead the development and oversee the execution of the annual financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

• Develop financial models to support business decisions, scenario analysis, and long-term forecasting

Strategic Analysis

• Proactively conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to support decision making.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analysis and financial performance metrics

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance accuracy and efficiency

• Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis, leveraging technology and automation where applicable

Collaboration & Business Partnership

• Partner with function leadership to establish financial targets and KPIs and provide financial insights and support business planning and decision making

• Serve as a key financial adviser to function leadership, offering guidance on cost management, resource allocation, and investment strategies

• Communicate financial results, forecasts, and key insights to senior leaders and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA and/or CPA preferred

• 7-10 years of experience

• Advanced Excel skills associated with large volumes of data, data management, and reporting

• Understanding of functional allocations and impacts on profitability reporting.

• Presentation skills with senior management

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Experience using the following systems: SAP, CPM, OneStream, Business Warehouse, and Tableau
