Chief Financial Officer / business development
Quantum Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller & HR Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and human resources functions across five business units in NYC’s construction and design sectors.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Maintain cash flow, expense tracking, and financial controls
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors
- Administer payroll, benefits, and HR compliance
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and employee relations
- Maintain employee handbook and ensure labor law compliance
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
- Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills
- Prior experience in construction or related industries preferred
- CPA or HR certification is a plus
