Travel MRI Tech Job Details – Rochester, NY
- Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York healthcare jobs)
- Facility Setting: Hospital-based MRI department
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (8/17/2025 – 11/16/2025)
- Shift: Mid shift, 4x10-hour shifts/week (1:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
- Total Hours: 40 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,690 - $2,760 per week
- Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Number of MRI Suites: 1
- Average Daily Scans: 20
- Comprehensive Orientation: 40 hours
- Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license (must be obtained before submission)
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system is mandatory
- Experience in adult acute care, outpatient imaging, and a variety of MRI procedures (abdomen, breast, chest, brain, spine, etc.)
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the Rochester facility
- Ability to float to other imaging units as needed
- Perform MRI scans for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Operate MRI equipment from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba
- Utilize PACS and advanced imaging techniques (diffusion, gradient echo, multiplanar reconstruction, perfusion, etc.)
- Ensure accurate documentation and charting using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response)
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for all patients, following isolation precautions as necessary
- Participate in hospital orientation and complete all required modules prior to start date
- Float to other imaging units within the hospital as required
