Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components of packaging equipment on the production floor. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 6 months to 2 years of mechanical experience or knowledge, or those who have completed a trade or technical school certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all mechanical and some electrical components of the packaging equipment on the production floor.
• Ensure that all packaging equipment is mechanically and electrically safe to operate and in good running condition at all times.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with all packaging equipment.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical experience or knowledge (6 months to 2 years).
• Trade School or Technical School Certification.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of electrical experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with GMP and manufacturing processes.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment specializing in the production of wet wipes. The open roles are for the second and/or third shift (3PM - 11PM) and (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday) with two openings available. The position requires wearing steel toe boots and no visible jewelry. PPE, including lab coats, will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeburg, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
