Legal Assistant - Plainview, NY

Firm:

• National litigation law firm
• Nearly 50 years in operation
• More than 200 attorneys
• Represents businesses, insurance companies, and organizations across multiple industries

Role:
As the Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to attorneys and clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, organizing and maintaining case files, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting attorneys with case preparation and research
• Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Organizing and maintaining case files, including electronic filing systems
• Conducting legal research using online databases and other resources

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience
• Previous experience in a law firm or legal department (required)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $70-90k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
