C as in Charlie is a Michelin Bib Gourmand–recognized Korean-American tapas restaurant located in NoHo (Bowery & Bleecker). Our menu blends Southern American heritage and Korean flavors , creating a contemporary and collaborative kitchen environment where creativity, precision, and teamwork matter.

We are a young, growing company offering opportunities for cooks to advance into Sous Chef and lead positions as we expand our culinary projects.

Position: Line Cook

Full-Time | BOH | Growth Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Execute prep and service for assigned stations with consistency and attention to detail.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area in accordance with DOH standards.
• Assist with daily prep, stock rotation, and mise en place.
• Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and fellow cooks during service.
• Learn and contribute to menu R&D, seasonal changes, and specials.
• Support expo duties when needed — coordinating plating, ticket flow, and communication between FOH and BOH.
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a team-first attitude.
• Participate in continuous skill development toward Sous Chef-level leadership (inventory management, ordering, staff training).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience preferred (fine dining or high-volume a plus).
• Strong knife and prep skills, with ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new techniques and flavor profiles.
• Positive energy, solid communication skills, and strong work ethic.
• Passion for food and hospitality, with long-term growth goals in the culinary field.
