Summary
Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes. Receptionist and Customer Service duties (including counter sales, phone inquiries) Order processing: informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer. Prepares bills of lading with chemical's proper shipping descriptions and lists weight. Operates office machines such as computer, typewriter, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines. Files materials into appropriate filing systems.QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced computer experience (including Windows, Excel spreadsheets, word processing) Ability to type (minimum 40 words per minute preferred) Ability to use 12 key adding machine. Prior customer service experience helpful.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
