Accounts Receivable Specialist, Retail & Wholesale
Join our fast-paced and collaborative Accounting & Finance team as a Wholesale Accounts Receivable Specialist. We're seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated, and driven individual to manage all aspects of the Accounts Receivable process. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely collections, identifying at-risk accounts, and reporting on the overall health of outstanding receivables to leadership.

What you’ll do:
- Accounts Receivable Records: Maintain accurate records, including aging, payments, credits, and write-offs. Perform daily cash management, record bank deposits, and update cash receipt logs. Monitor and collect receivables via phone, email, and mail. Prepare analytical reports on A/R collection efforts.
- Discounts and Promotions: Oversee customer discounts and promotions, ensuring accurate application and minimizing negative impact on receivables.
- Cash Receipts Management: Record payments timely and accurately. Build a collections forecast process to improve the cash forecasting process.
- Credit Limit Determination: Ensure credit limits are accurately reflected in the ERP and partner with the trade credit insurance provider to automate existing processes.
- Process Optimization: Identify and propose improvements to optimize accounts receivable management, reducing financial risk and increasing efficiency.
- Month End Tasks: Assist with financial close, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Lead monthly meetings with Wholesale and Operations leaders to report on key metrics. Assist with ad hoc tasks and reporting.
Position Goals:
- Effective and Timely Collections: Manage accounts receivable efficiently, minimizing overdue accounts.
- Resource Optimization: Improve processes and procedures to maintain control over accounts receivable.
- Digital Transformation: Implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
What you’ll have:
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in consumer goods or retail.
- High accuracy and attention to detail with strong reconciliation and analysis skills.
- Understanding of basic finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles.
- Proactive and autonomous work ethic.
- Strong communication and business partnering skills.
- Superb time management and detail orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in Netsuite & EDI is a plus.
- System implementation experience is a big plus.
- Experience driving process improvement.

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
