Job Summary
The Underwriting Associate provides support and assistance to underwriting staff. Process endorsements, binding policies, and general follow-up with agents to ensure the underwriting file is complete. This is an entry level position.

Position Responsibilities

Provide support and assistance to underwriting staff
Process transactions in management system for new and renewal accounts to include policy issuance, endorsements, and other policy lifecycle support
Draft correspondence for communication with brokers
File documentation support
Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to finalize policy binding
Review binding documents for completeness and acceptability to ensure compliance with carrier and state requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Undergraduate degree desirable
Insurance Education a plus
Strong customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software
Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
Strong desire to learn, explore new ideas, and seeking out new knowledge
Ability to be flexible, embrace change, and quickly pivot in response to shifting priorities
Written communication – Edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and can read and interpret written information.

The starting hourly pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. In addition, the company offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match, paid time off, and other benefits.

ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

National Pay Range

$21 - $25 USD
