Line Cook
Cafe Kestrel is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are open to accommodating full-time or part-time schedules and welcome cooks who are excited to continue growing in their culinary careers.
*Applicants must be open to working weekends and able to commute to Red Hook, Brooklyn.
RequirementsProven cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant
Strong understanding of cooking methods, allergy handling, kitchen equipment, and knife skills
Commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and speed of execution
Familiarity with industry best practices, including NYC Department of Health standards
Ability to work weekends, nights, and some holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
