Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Certified Security Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security training and education, with experience in delivering engaging and effective instruction. This role involves developing and conducting security training programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a safe learning environment.

Candidates:

Must be New York State Certified and in good standing

1-2 experience as a security guard

Must have teaching experience

Certified to teach:

8 hour Pre Assignment

8 hour Re-Cert

16 Hour On the job course

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive security training curricula tailored to various audiences and skill levels
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction and practical training sessions on security protocols, procedures, and best practices
• Assess trainee performance through evaluations and provide constructive feedback for improvement
• Ensure all training activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and certification statuses
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and update course content accordingly
• Stay current on industry trends, new security technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance training quality

Skills

• Proven experience as a security instructor or trainer, with demonstrated ability to deliver effective instruction
• Strong knowledge of security principles, procedures, and industry standards
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences
• Ability to develop instructional materials and adapt teaching methods as needed
• Experience working within a university or academic environment is highly desirable
• Professional demeanor with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and growth

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
