Job Summary
The Program Coordinator assists the Program Director with the prosperous development, implementation, continuity and sustaincapability of the Rensselaer Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP). The Program Coordinator assists with the recruitment of program participants, and the development and delivery of programs and workshops; provides support in preparing and maintaining all RPI STEP grant reports, records, and evaluations, and maintains current, accurate student records as required by the grant; and works with the Program Director to develop the annual program budget and is responsible for purchasing and tracking expenses in conformity with Rensselaer purchasing policies.


Minimum Qualifications

»Associate's Degree in STEM or other related field

»Three (3) or more years of directly related practice

»Valid US driver's license
significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered.


Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities

»Proficiency with Microsoft Office

»Excellent verbal and written communication expertise

»Attention to detail and superb organizational expertise

» capability to simultaneously handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines

» capability to take initiative and follow up on constituent issues as needed

» availability and capability to work effectively in a team environment

» capability to work with diverse populations including middle and high school students (grades 7-12), parents and guardians


Preferred expertise, Skill, and Abilities

» capability to update web pages/sites using institute web authoring tool.


Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required


Driving
Incidental driving possible, but not required
