What does a Maintenance Worker do?
Under general supervision to execute skilled maintenance and utility work, including miscellaneous janitor tasks, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections at any of the Company’s office, gas or electric properties. Follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. Makes minor repairs in the areas of plumbing/pipe fitting, electrical, carpentry, painting, or masonry. Assist Building & Grounds Mechanics on projects as needed as a helper.



What does it take be a Maintenance Worker?

Required:

»Evidence of prosperous completion of the requirements for graduation from High School or an Equivalency Diploma and at least two years’ practice as Maintenance Worker – Second Class or equivalent previous practice

» expertise of basic carpentry, including minor drywall and painting, electric, masonry and plumbing

» capability to use hand tools, electronic/computerized tools, and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining buildings and grounds

»Evidence of physical fitness shall be required and at the Company's option must be demonstrated by medical examination by a doctor selected by the Company

»Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
