Senior Catering Sales Producer
Mary Giuliani Catering & Events, Inc. is a full-service Catering & Event Production company specializing in all event needs including, but not limited to: venue scouting, creating custom food and beverage menus, service personnel, production design and décor. MGCE is a creative boutique agency and has a customized approach to high-end entertaining. We produce events for 10 – 3,000+ guests, including but not limited to cocktail parties, corporate meetings, social gatherings, retail events, press previews, product launches and experiential activations. Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Catering Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in catering sales, a robust network of industry contacts, and a proven track record of driving sales and exceeding targets. This role requires a deep understanding of hospitality services and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners to expand the company’s network and increase sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth; conduct client outreach to secure new accounts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including conducting site visits, preparing proposals, budgets, rental orders and negotiating contracts; consistently be ahead of client deadlines.
- Familiarity with NYC based venues, acquiring COI’s; understanding space and power constraints.
- Collaborate with culinary and event production teams to design and implement customized catering solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
- Stay informed about current industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our catering services and unique culinary offerings and event experiences.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and project timelines in our CRM system (Tripleseat)
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings to promote our services and expand the company’s visibility.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning and execution of events to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering or restaurant/private dining sales; event production experience is a plus
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing a client base
- Extensive network of industry contacts and a strong book of business.
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality services, event logistics, and catering operations.
- Well-versed in various cuisines and able to provide insights on menu planning and dietary considerations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

-Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. Must have exemplary relationship building skills with both internal and external clientele and a strong ability to orchestrate events of the highest caliber.
-A strong ability to procure new clients and maintain good relationships with existing clients.
-Excellent time management and self-management skills, as well as willingness and flexibility regarding working hours.
-Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
-Candidate must be in the NY Metro area and be available to work in-office and attend events in Tri-State Area.
