candle maker and retail service associate

$17-$19 per hour

Tuesday to Saturday Schedule with varying hours. Must be available all days listed

Summary: The associate is responsible for exceptional customer service in the opening and closing of the retail storefront as well as all duties assigned below. The associate must be a candle lover and passionate about the healing arts. We serve beer, wine and cider and host many private parties and special events that the associate will be trained to work.

Essential Functions

? On time opening and closing of the retail store front

? Excellent customer service and money handling skills

? Sales skills to upsell and add on items to orders

? Working knowledge of a POS (Point of Sale) system

? Pouring of stock candles and other products

? Organization with online customer orders

? Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision

? Creativity and awareness for shelf restocking as well as new candle ideas

? Daily cleaning such as sweeping, wiping surfaces and ensuring trash is thrown out

? Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service

? Promptness in communicating low stock items for ordering purposes

? Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience

? High School Diploma required

Skills/Abilities

? Previous sales experience a plus

*Bar knowledge a plus

* Serve Safe certification is a plus

? Knowledge about the healing arts and crystals a plus

• Previous bartending experience is a plus

? Excellent Customer Service skills

? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

? Proficient with POS systems

? Ability to work and reason independently

? Ability to work in high pressure and busy situations

? Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 40 per week
