Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary:
Maplevale Farms is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our family. The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s accounts payable department. Maplevale Farms is a family owned business. While continuously growing, we pride ourselves on remaining family centered. As an essential business, our goal is to better our communities through customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Processes Accounts Payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Maintain accurate and up to date accounts payable records in accordance with accounting standards
- Reconcile vendor, invoice and receiving paperwork and resolve and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with period end closing activities including reconcilations and accruals.
- Provide support for other accounting and finance functions as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years in accounts payable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Knowledge of accounting principle and practices related to accounts payable.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
