Measurements Technician II

Join a long-standing Fortune 500 client as a Measurements Technician II supporting metrology and ion exchange operations in a dynamic lab environment. This role combines hands-on technical work with problem-solving, data analysis, and collaboration with engineers, scientists, and technicians.

Job Title: Measurements Technician II

Location: Corning, NY

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: 2-year technical associate degree required, 4-year technical bachelor's degree preferred (STEM-related: math/science, engineering, chemistry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily validations of metrology equipment and glass measurements

• Support ion exchange operations: loading/unloading IOX baths, tank setup, glass staging

• Track project expenses, maintain documentation, and develop training materials

• Troubleshoot equipment, process, and lab issues; identify root causes and solutions

• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

• Participate in project teams and act as liaison between Metrology and IOX teams

• Maintain a safe, organized lab environment in compliance with 5S standards

Qualifications:

• Lab or process experience preferred; college lab experience acceptable

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for analysis and reporting

• Strong soft skills: detail-oriented, ambitious, accountable, and collaborative

• Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and analyze data
