## About the Role

Asahan Tech Partners is looking for an experienced **Senior AI Engineer** to design, develop, and deploy intelligent software solutions for our clients. You will work on practical AI products involving large language models, machine learning, automation, data processing, and cloud-based applications.

The ideal candidate has strong software engineering skills and hands-on experience building production-ready AI systems—not only prototypes. You should be comfortable working independently, making technical decisions, and collaborating with developers, product managers, and clients.

## Responsibilities

* Design and build production-grade AI and machine-learning applications.
* Develop solutions using large language models, generative AI, and natural language processing.
* Build retrieval-augmented generation systems using embeddings and vector databases.
* Integrate AI models and services into web applications, APIs, and existing business systems.
* Develop AI agents, workflow automation, and intelligent document-processing solutions.
* Create scalable backend services and data pipelines for AI applications.
* Evaluate models based on accuracy, latency, reliability, security, and operating cost.
* Improve prompts, retrieval strategies, model outputs, and overall system performance.
* Implement monitoring, testing, logging, and safeguards for AI-generated responses.
* Deploy and maintain AI services in cloud environments.
* Review code and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
* Communicate technical concepts and project progress clearly to clients and internal teams.
* Research emerging AI technologies and recommend tools that provide practical business value.

## Required Qualifications

* At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
* At least 3 years of experience working with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data-driven systems.
* Strong proficiency in Python.
* Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
* Hands-on experience integrating large language models through platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, or open-source model providers.
* Experience building RAG applications, semantic search systems, or AI agents.
* Knowledge of embeddings and vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Qdrant, Chroma, or pgvector.
* Experience developing REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
* Strong understanding of SQL databases, data processing, and API integration.
* Experience deploying applications using Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Familiarity with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software-development practices.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to design reliable systems and take ownership of projects from planning through production deployment.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience fine-tuning, evaluating, or optimizing large language models.
* Experience with multimodal AI, including text, image, audio, or video processing.
* Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, observability, and experiment tracking.
* Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools.
* Familiarity with data-engineering technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or cloud data platforms.
* Experience implementing AI safety controls, privacy protections, and responsible AI practices.
* Previous experience in a software consulting, SaaS, or client-facing environment.
* Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects.
