Duties Description Under the direction of the Manager Information Technology Services 1, within the Digital Transformation Office, Shared Application Services Bureau, Service Management Section, the Information Technology Specialist 4 will supervise five current developers on the Robotic Process Automation team.Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:- Design and develop solutions to automate repetitive tasks using RPA tools.- Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and document current business practices that are eligible for automation.- Maintain and support existing automations.- Monitor automations to ensure they are functioning properly.- Review automation output to ensure accuracy.- Train both technical staff and business users on the use of both attended and unattended bots.- Manage automation projects for both ITS and client agencies.- Prepare reports and status updates for management and executives.- Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25 OR in a position at the SG23 level or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades. Note: If you are on the examination eligible list for the position title in this location, you do not need to respond to this posting unless you are also eligible for appointment by one of the qualifications listed above. Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed.
