- Proven experience in recreation management or a related field, with knowledge of a variety of recreational areas: Art, Music, Dance, Trivia, Games, Exercise, Movies, Literature, and Poetry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage residents and staff.
- Ability to design, organize, and oversee diverse recreational activities that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of all residents.
- Excellent communication skills to lead activities in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, residents, and external community partners.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt programs to meet resident needs.
- College degree is required; experience in recreation, or a related field is required
- Develops, implements, and oversees all recreation programs and activities to ensure a vibrant and engaging resident experience.
- Supervises recreation staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-quality programming.
- Coordinates services and events with community agencies and resources to enhance the offerings of the recreation department.
- Regularly evaluates programs and gathers resident feedback to continuously improve and adapt activities.
- Ensures all activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Manages the recreation department budget, scheduling, and resources efficiently.
- Performs other duties as needed to support the facility’s mission and resident well-being.
