Glazing and Metals Estimator

Our client is seeking a high-energy Commercial Construction Estimator specializing in Glazing and Ornamental Metals to join their pre-construction team. This role is designed for a mathematical strategist who excels at turning complex architectural documents into accurate financial forecasts for large-scale commercial projects. We value teamwork, superior quality, and a "can-do" attitude. You will work directly with the Estimating Manager to forecast costs for glass, metal panel, and decorative metal systems while navigating tight bid deadlines with precision and discipline.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Construction Estimator, your primary focus will be the end-to-end development of project bids, specifically within the glazing and metal panel sectors

• Analysis: Review GC documents to define scope; prepare detailed quantity take-offs.

• Pricing: Use estimating software to price materials; configure shop and field labor.

• Communication: Submit RFI/Bid Clarifications and build rapport with General Contractors.

• Reporting: Create detailed bid proposals and maintain the internal bid tracking system.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years estimating in glazing, exterior metal panels, and ornamental metals.

• Technical: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and a solid grasp of construction terminology/contracts.
