Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care across neonatal through adult patients per physician orders, including airway management, aerosolized therapies, humidification, CPT, and secretion clearance.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust ventilator support (Puritan Bennett 980 & 840; LTV1200) with patient-specific weaning and weaning assessments; respond to changes in patient status.
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation; document results in EPIC and communicate findings to the care team to guide therapy.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment; utilize the Pyxis medication system as required; ensure infection control and equipment safety.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians during rounds; participate in cross-unit coverage as needed, including float to nursery and ER; adhere to unit policies and patient safety standards.

Requirements
- NY license to practice at time of assignment (active or eligible).
- 2 to 3 years of respiratory care experience; at least 2 years in a hospital setting.
- Neonatal/pediatric exposure and NRP required; ACLS and BLS certifications current.
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years; NBRC verification recommended.
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule (3x12), with weekend requirements every other weekend; ability to float to nursery and ER as needed.
- Documentation and clinical duties in a hospital environment; own reliable transportation may be preferred.
