NYIC VISTA, Upstate Volunteer Management @ NYIC
The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) VISTA program works to place and support AmeriCorps VISTAs at New York nonprofit organizations, for the purpose of building organizational capacity to provide low-income immigrant communities with diverse anti-poverty services.
Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), MISSION: The New York Immigration Coalition, a state-wide, member-led, coalition of immigrant and refugee organizations, works to transform the lives of all New Yorkers by strengthening and building our members’ power, organizing and educating our communities and the public, and using our collective voice to advocate for opportunity and justice. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Upstate Volunteer Management, placed at the NYIC, will work on recruitment of our volunteer cohorts in Western NY, Central NY, Capital Region and the Hudson Valley to support programmatic events in these regions. SERVICE LOCATION: NYIC Albany Office, 1 Steuben Place, Albany, NY 12207. LIVING ALLOWANCE: LIVING ALLOWANCE: $24,962.35
