The Fabrication Coordinator is an integral part of a collaborative scenic team that includes fabrication support, coordination with team members and vendors, and light fabrication. This position radiates expert problem-solving skills, time management, and organizational skills. Living within the Fabrication branch, every day is unique for a coordinator that is working to keep the shop functioning around a variety of projects.

Essential Responsibilities + Skills:

Fabrication Support

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient fabrication area
• Ordering project supplies and materials
• Maintains equipment according to manufacturer and shop needs
• Receives and organizes material
• Work with a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastics, laminate, graphics, and LED
• Participate in forklift training + certification // Safely operate a forklift in warehouse + shop

Project Management + Coordination

• Able to execute numerous competing priorities simultaneously, while maintaining flexibility
• Coordinate fabrication pack items and install specific hardware, tools and expendables.
• Make fabrication purchases, establish vendor relations, and do occasional material runs
• Assist Fab team in labeling + packing project items for shipping or truck load

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Teams, and Excel
• Basic construction knowledge with tool, hardware, and material recognition
• Prefer experience in shop with ability to safely run a table saw, chop saw, and power tools
• Precise execution and keen attention to detail
• Maintaining a calm + positive attitude during stressful periods
• Always willing to lend a hand + be a team player
• Effective interpersonal skills // Ability to listen, comprehend, + communicate concise information
• Good time management // Goal-focused task management
• Works independently with minor supervision // Asking for support or clarification without reluctance
