Pizza Cook
Pizzaiolo Mark Iacono of Lucali has opened a slice shop in Carroll Gardens, a sister restaurant to Lucali. Our neighborhood pizzeria serves Sicilian pies and slices, along with a selection of other menu items and delicious beverages. We are currently seeking a Pizza Cook to join our team.
The Pizza Cook will work with a three-deck electric oven. A Food Handler’s Permit is required.
Primary Duties:
- Follow prep lists created by the chef to plan daily duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients so they are organized and easily accessible.
- Portion, stock, and maintain fresh ingredients and seasonings for garnishing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly oven station.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior experience preparing food in a professional kitchen.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate clearly and legibly.
- High school diploma or equivalent culinary training certificate.
- NYC Food Handler’s Permit required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
