Scheduling Coordinator
Pediatric Dental Group of New York is a leading pediatric dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for children in a friendly, compassionate, and professional environment. We are currently seeking a Patient Scheduler / Front Desk Coordinator to join our team.
This position plays a critical role in the daily operations of our practice by helping families schedule appointments and ensuring an organized and welcoming experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently
- Provide patients and parents with information regarding appointments, insurance, and office policies
- Maintain an organized and accurate appointment schedule
- Respond to voicemail, email, and patient inquiries promptly
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Assist with patient check-in/check-out when needed
- Maintain a positive and professional environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Prior dental or medical office experience preferred (but not required)
- Experience with scheduling software or electronic health records is a plus
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills
