Compounding Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
• Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Compounding Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal laws
• Compound medications for internal and external use
• Prepare sterile solutions following established procedures and safety guidelines
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
• Provide patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify overuse or misuse patterns
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support staff
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
• Educate patients on proper handling of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors

Compounding Pharmacist Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
• Active Pharmacist license in the state of New York
• Compounding experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production pharmacy environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
