About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Bluebix Health Inc to find a qualified NICU RN in Utica, New York, 13501!

The NICU RN provides specialized care to newborn infants, including premature and critically ill babies, ensuring close monitoring, treatment, and support for their growth and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs and condition of newborns in the NICU

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized treatments

• Operate and manage neonatal equipment (incubators, ventilators)

• Assist in feeding and nutritional support for infants

• Collaborate with neonatologists and healthcare teams

• Educate and support parents regarding infant care

• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care

• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

• Ensure infection control and safety protocols

8 WEEK ASSIGNMENT
75 MILE RADIUS RULE, TRAVEL
Will take locals, local rate will apply (less than 75 miles)
3+ years in NICU (some level II or III experience is mandatory, preferably 3+ yrs of level II/III)
BLS, NRP Required at time of submission
PALS and STABLE required prior to start.
If candidate does not have it at time of submission please make sure to list on cover page candidate is willing to obtain prior to start.
Number of beds: 13 to 8 NICU beds (private rooms), additional beds in open bay overflow
RN Ratio: 1:1 to 3
Epic experience required
Floating: MB, possibly peds or any other adult floor if needed (helping hands if outside their scope)
