Position Summary: Dynamic and detail-oriented professional sought for a multifaceted role in financial aid administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the financial aid process, including counseling students, processing aid packets, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role involves serving as the main point of contact for financial aid inquiries, maintaining organized files, and collaborating with diverse teams to support efficient office operations. Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are essential for success in this position. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the main financial aid phone lines.
  • Process and meticulously document all incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Provide valuable support for open houses, orientations, and various on-campus programs.
  • Offer comprehensive counseling to students on the financial aid process and assist with scholarship research.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the financial aid email account.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the department.
  • Maintain and organize the calendar for the Vice President of Finance.
  • Oversee the seamless ordering of all office supplies to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage the meticulous organization of incoming, current, and retention student files.
  • Process financial aid offer packets with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Assist in tracking federal work-study earnings when required.
  • Track appointments for special programs with precision and efficiency.
  • Send timely notices to students concerning verification, TAP, and other relevant purposes.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related office experience, showcasing proficiency and reliability.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, ensuring effective use of relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering positive interactions with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional evening hours/weekends.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
