Location: Rochester, NY Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $52,000 - $104,000/yr.

Both manufacture proprietary product lines which include Davenport multi-spindle screw machines, thread rolling attachments, thread rolls, and tooling. Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Professional Buyer to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing & Procurement:
• • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Negotiation:
• • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Supplier Management:
• • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly.
• Inventory & Budget Control:
• • Collaborate with inventory and production teams to align purchases with operational needs.
  • Monitor budgets and analyze procurement trends for cost-efficiency.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience:
• • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role.
  • Industry-specific experience is a plus (e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.).
• Skills:
• • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Certifications (preferred):
• • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
