Full Time Payroll Clerk Store #119
Pay Rate Starting at: Level $16.00-$16.70/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.
SUMMARY
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Human Resources clerk is responsible for payroll and Kronos/Dimensions operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding payroll and Kronos/Dimensions operations with special attention to use of labor hours and Minor Labor Laws
- Use SAP to screen potential employees, then assist in or conduct interviews with prospective employees
- Perform the new hire process by conducting orientation and submitting new hire paperwork to corporate and ensure that new associates are trained in store polices
- Follow direction of the Store Manager in order to ensure that the labor budget is adhered to by minimizing overtime/ premium pay and enforcing cost efficient scheduling
- Communicate with department managers about weekly schedules
- Input/monitor time off requests into the Kronos/Dimensions system in order to generate schedules, submit to the Store Manager for final approval
- Print and check the Problem Punch Report daily (for the previous day) to verify that all associates punched correctly and will communicate any problems directly to the Store Manager for follow up actions
- Document all payroll adjustments (i.e.: exceptions, missing punches, missing sick time, personal time, holiday, etc) on the Payroll Adjustment Form and submit by designated time
- Input and make corrections to the employee and payroll data in the LMS system
- Print associate time cards and gets signature of associates if changes/ corrections need to be made
- Ensure appropriate amount of vacation and/ or personal time is inputted into the LMS system for associate requests
- Submit payroll data to corporate on-time every week, if any problems occur contact the appropriate people
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills
