Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our behavioral health team. This role offers a hybrid work opportunity , allowing for a combination of on-site and remote responsibilities. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality mental health care.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical evaluation.

• Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and clinical protocols.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.

• Prescribe medications in alignment with current treatment guidelines and provide education on medication use, benefits, and potential side effects.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, and explain results to patients.

• Provide mental health education, emotional support, and counseling to patients and families.

• Refer patients for higher levels of care (e.g., inpatient services) when clinically appropriate.

• Maintain ongoing patient follow-up and monitor treatment progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of New York .

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience .

• Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week .
