THE COMPANY
Sanico is a 2nd generation-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. We seek to provide solutions and value for our customers.

We are looking for a Laundry & Warewash Service Technician to join Sanico's growing Kitchen Chemical Services Team . The position is field-based.

THE JOB
Working closely with Sanico Field Sales Reps and the Kitchen Chemical Division Program Manager, and in direct communication with the President of the company, the Service Technician will provide field technical support for customer kitchen and/or laundry equipment. This is accomplished by conducting on-site, recurring preventive maintenance checks (PMs) of customer-owned or leased dish machines, three compartment sinks, or laundry equipment. In rare instances, a customer may have service disruption during nights or weekends requiring the Service Technician’s (remote or in-person) assistance.

The Service Technician may be tasked with supporting large-scale dispenser installations at customer sites.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• ATTITUDE
• ORGANIZATION – a track record of productivity
• TECHNICAL COMPETENCE
  • plumbing, electrical experience REQUIRED
  • knows how to use a METER
  • prior experience with kitchen, warewash, laundry repair PREFERRED
• CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE
• High school diploma/GED PREFERRED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Independent lifting of equipment which can exceed 50 pounds
• frequent climbing into/out of service van
• able to maneuver up/downstairs, ramps, etc. at service locations
• can handle exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates.

JOB TYPE : FULL-TIME, Monday thru Friday. Possibility of night or weekend service calls.
LOCATION : Sanico Service Center located at 9 Broad Ave in Binghamton will serve as
home base, but vast majority of time will be spent in the field.
COMPENSATION: Salary + commission + bonus potential. Salary range - $58,000-$69,600
