THE COMPANY
Sanico is a 2nd generation-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. We seek to provide solutions and value for our customers. We are looking for an experienced, seasoned Field Service Technician to join our growing Kitchen Chemical Service Team. Sanico's Kitchen Chemical Service Division is tasked with providing maintenance and technical support of customer kitchen equipment--specifically commercial dish machines and three-based sinks--as well as laundry equipment.

THE JOB
Working in collaboration with Sanico sales reps and the Division Program Manager, the Service Tech provides technical support for the customer's commercial dishwash and laundry equipment. Effective, high-level support is accomplished by conducting recurring preventive maintenance checks (PMs) of customer dish machines, three compartment sinks, or laundry equipment. In rare instances, a customer may have service disruption during nights or weekends requiring the Service Technician’s assistance (remote or in-person). Providing high-skill, high-touch service is a tremendous value-add for our customers and strengthens the business relationship. This position is field-based and a company-owned service van is provided for business use.

Additionally, on an as-needed basis, the Service Technician may be tasked with assisting with large-scale dispenser installations (paper towel, toilet tissue, hand soap/sanitizer) at other customer locations.

  • knows how to use a METER
  • prior experience with kitchen, warewash, laundry repair REQUIRED
• CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE
• High school diploma/GED PREFERRED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Independent lifting of equipment which can exceed 50 pounds
• frequent climbing into/out of service van
• able to maneuver up/downstairs, ramps, etc. at service locations
• can handle exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates.

JOB TYPE :
FULL-TIME, Monday thru Friday. Possibility of night or weekend service calls.

LOCATION :
Sanico Service Center located at 9 Broad Ave in Binghamton will serve as home base, but vast majority of time will be spent in the field.

COMPENSATION:
Salary + commission + bonus potential.
Salary range - $58,000 - $69,600
