Join our team as an AM Baker, where your passion for baking meets creativity! As a vital member of our team, you'll craft delicious baked goods that delight our customers each morning in the heart of New York City. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of artisanal breads, pastries, and desserts.
- Ensure all products meet high-quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal and special menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency.
- Engage with customers to provide product knowledge and recommendations.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior baking staff.
- Proven experience as a baker in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in culinary arts or baking preferred.
- Passion for creating high-quality baked goods and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
