About Ray of Bliss:

Ray of Bliss is a boutique yoga and wellness studio in Long Island City dedicated to authentic, lineage-based practices that integrate yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and contemplative traditions to support the holistic wellbeing of each person. We're in our second year and growing. What we're building towards is an urban ashram, a sanctuary where dedicated spiritual practice and physical discipline live together, without compromise. This is more than a drop-in fitness studio. It's a community for people who are ready to go deeper, and who choose to stay once they find us.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Community Coordinator who has the warmth, initiative, and follow-through to bring new people into our community and support our community today.

The right person loves connecting with people, believes in the impact of the practices and offerings, and wants to grow alongside a small studio that is building something meaningful. Your role is to get the word out, enroll new people, and connect with people beyond those already part of our community.

What You’ll Do:

• New Student Outreach & Tracking : Get out into LIC and Queens neighboring areas and conduct proactive outreach via visits to local businesses, neighborhood organizations, and wellness-adjacent spaces to introduce people to Ray of Bliss. Keep a simple record of who you bring in so your commission is always clear.
• Lead Follow-Up: Respond to inquiries with warmth and intention, guiding people from first contact to first visit to ongoing student.
• Direct Communications: Manage our newsletter, DMs, and community announcements in a voice that sounds like us — warm, welcoming, grounded and authentic.
• Event Participation and Enrollment: Participate and fill seats for Ray of Bliss retreats and local events through personal outreach and follow-up.

What We’re Looking For:

• You have a personal yoga or wellness practice and genuinely understand what Ray of Bliss offers. You don't need to be a teacher, but you need to believe in what we do.
• You love connecting with people and go to them rather than waiting for them to come to you.
• You’re reliable and follow through. Most enrollment is lost in the follow-up so we need someone who closes the loop.
• Comfortable with Instagram Direct Messages, Whatsapp, email, and basic communication tools.

Compensation:

This is a part-time role at approximately 10 hours per week.

• Base : $300 monthly stipend
• Commission: $8 per new student who purchases and attends their first class through your direct outreach.
• 12% of any package or membership purchased by a new student you brought in within their first 30 days.
• 12% of each retreat seat you book through your direct outreach.
• Complementary unlimited attendance to all Ray of Bliss classes

This role has meaningful earning potential as Ray of Bliss grows. A Coordinator who fills one retreat and brings in consistent new class students monthly can earn $800–$1,500+ per month part-time.

This role is for a true community builder. This is for you if you prefer responding only to inbound interest over creating outbound connection or are not personally drawn to yoga, meditation, or contemplative practice.

Preference will be given to candidates based in LIC or Astoria who are already familiar with the community and neighborhood. Background in community outreach is also a plus.
