FID Secured Lending (“FSL”) sits within Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Division and provides financing facilities to asset originators, aggregators and financial sponsors. FSL currently manages a portfolio backed by a diverse range of assets including private credit / corporate loans, fund capital commitments, consumer loans, residential and commercial mortgages, and infrastructure loans across the US, Europe, and APAC regions. 

Position Description:

The Fixed Income Division (“FID”) Securitized Products Group is currently seeking an Analyst to work on all aspects of executing warehouse lending facilities. The role will include working with originators, investors, external counsel, rating agencies and internal constituents in the securitization banking, credit, legal, compliance, tax and accounting policy divisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities center on establishing and maintaining relationships with clients in setting up and managing warehouse lending facilities which includes: 

  • Assisting in preparation, negotiation, and review of transaction terms with clients and external legal counsel

  • Understanding of rating agency criteria in relation to internal credit policies and Firm risk tolerance

  • Liaising with external counsel and internal constituents to shepherd warehouse facilities from start to finish, including working closely with Credit personnel to create internal memos and analysis necessary to seek approval for warehouse facilities and new products

  • Working closely with the securitization banking team in delivering mortgage finance solutions to clients across warehouse lending and securitization

Skills Required:

  • Prior structured finance industry experience, including unsecured consumer, auto, and/or student loan products

  • Working knowledge of ABS, including basic understanding of rating agency criteria and securitization structures

  • Familiarity with structured finance and secured lending transactions

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Organizational expertise and attention to detail, with strong communication, reasoning and interpersonal skills; comfortable delivering in-person presentations to stakeholders of varying seniority

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Analyst. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
