Ultrasound Technologist (Staten Island)

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 12-week assignment to perform diagnostic sonographic procedures with a focus on OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal, and abdominal exams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.

Position Summary:

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Staten Island, NY 10310

Schedule: M-F with some weekends (8x5)

Shift: Days (8AM-4PM EST)

Pay Range: $2750-$3250/ Gross Weekly DOE

Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality ultrasound exams according to established protocols.

Obtain accurate images with proper patient positioning and sonographic technique.

Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and sonographic principles.

Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.

Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures.

Ensure patient charges and procedure tracking are accurately recorded.

Prepare and clean exam rooms; maintain equipment and supplies.

Verify patient identity and confirm the correct exam.

Read and follow physicians orders accurately.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.

ARDMS certification (or eligible with certification required within 6 months of hire).

Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
