Mechanical Engineer
- Perform mechanical system design including HVAC, piping, and process systems.
- Prepare and review design drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate design work with internal staff and other design professionals, including architects and engineers of other disciplines.
- Assist project managers with correspondence, estimates, schedules, and material lists.
- Apply company and industry standards to the preparation of calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform redlines of existing drawings and support project file coordination.
- Work independently on projects of moderate size and complexity; support senior engineers on larger or more complex efforts.
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, construction teams, and clients to address mechanical design issues.
- Review deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Mentor and support entry-level engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- 4–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with plans to obtain licensure.
- Proficiency with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, Trace, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and equipment design.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment testing.
- Ability to pass criminal background check in accordance with client requirements.
