Nonprofit Staff Accountant

National nonprofit headquartered in Manhattan, three blocks from Grand Central, hiring a temporary Staff Accountant to join the organztion in the next 2 weeks. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will work closely with the Senior Manager on bank reconciliations from the sweep account and additional accounts. Transactions can be high volume with multiple lines. The ideal candidate will be a strong culture fit—personable, energetic, and a quick learner—with demonstrated month-end close, bank recs, and account reconciliation experience. This is a hybrid role, at the ofice Tuesdays and Thursdays. The team recently implemented Workday from Great Plains, Workday experience is HIGHLY preferred!

salary: $30 - $35 per hour

Responsibilities

The most urgent priorities for this role are high-volume, complex Bank Reconciliations, as well as support for month-end close and account reconciliations.

• Workday (ERP) experience is a must-have, given the recent transition from Great Plains.

• Proven experience with complex and high-volume bank reconciliations - multi-line.

• Accounting Degree & Nonprofit experience is preferred, but not required.
