Job Title: Social Worker - Outpatient Adult Psychiatry

The Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry Services has an opening for a Social Worker experienced in providing individual therapy and group therapy to patients who are clinically stable and would benefit from ongoing outpatient treatment.

Our clinic provide mental health services to our Spanish Harlem community. The Social Worker will have initial support on how to perform intakes, crisis intervention and discharge planning. The social will also receive ongoing supervision.

The Ambulatory Psychiatry Services program is located at 1160 Fifth Avenue.

• NYS LMSW or LCSW.

• Experience treating patients with serious/chronic mental illness.

• Knowledge of and experience using evidence-based practices in treatment of adult mental illness.

• Knowledge of DSM-V and experience in evaluation and diagnosis of mental illness

• Exceptional clinical, collaborative, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of community resources for adults with serious and persistent mental illness.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

• LCSW preferred.

• Minimum one year in current position.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $88691 - $101670.78 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
