Our client, a prominent institution in the higher education sector, is seeking an Operations Administrative Assistant with Higher Education experience to join their team. As an Operations Administrative Assistant with Higher Education experience, you will be part of the Office of Operations supporting various departmental activities. The ideal candidate will have Academic experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.

Job Title: Operations Administrative Assistant-Higher Education

Location: Onsite, New York, New York 10003

Pay Range: $30 - $37 per hour- Hours: 9-5

What's the Job?

  • Serve as the primary source of information for the general public, students, staff, and faculty regarding Office of Operations policies and programs.
  • Respond to a variety of inquiries, resolving routine and non-routine problems while consulting with supervisors on more complex issues.
  • Customize and compose letters for the Office of Operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Modify and create databases and complex spreadsheets while monitoring department budgets and grants.
  • Prioritize office activities, delegate tasks to student employees, and maintain confidential department records.


What's Needed?

  • 3+ years of office experience with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Excellent proofreading and writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain and secure confidential records and files.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or Apple applications is preferred.
