Assistant Director of Finance
Renwick Hospitality Group manages food & beverage operations within hotels across New York City and Washington, DC , including restaurants, bars, event venues, and hotel‑operated F&B concepts. We are a growing, entrepreneurial organization, and we’re looking for a hands‑on finance professional who wants to be a true partner to our Finance Director and our operations teams.

Position Summary
The Assistant Finance Director will support the accounting and financial operations of multiple hospitality entities across the Renwick portfolio. This role plays a key part in monthly close , financial reporting , balance sheet reconciliations , payroll review , tax compliance , budgeting , and operational finance initiatives .

Key Responsibilities
Lead balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules across multiple entities
Assist with monthly close and preparation of financial statements
Review P&Ls and investigate variances with operations teams
Maintain prepaid, accrual, and amortization schedules
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Assist with payroll audits and labor reporting
Support sales and use tax compliance
Review AP activity and resolve vendor‑related accounting issues
Prepare journal entries and account analyses
Support new venue openings , system implementations, and special projects
Collaborate with operations leaders, ownership, and external accountants
Qualifications
5+ years of accounting or finance experience
Hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or multi‑unit experience strongly preferred
Experience with month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations
Ability to review financial statements and research variances
Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
Experience with M3 Accounting Core strongly preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and communication skills
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
