Position Summary:

 

The Warehouse & Distribution Manager leads daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced packaging operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and on-time distribution. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety and quality culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can develop teams, optimize processes, and deliver against service, cost, and performance goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates (hourly and salaried), fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture
  • Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking/packing, and shipping
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound materials in alignment with service level expectations
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels and operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive safety, quality, and compliance with company policies, SOPs, cGMPs, and regulatory standards
  • Manage departmental budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives
  • Partner with Planning, Production, and cross-functional teams to align on priorities and optimize material flow
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Lean, TPM/NCE) to enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow design to support operational efficiency
  • Ensure proper use and accuracy of systems (e.g., SAP, EWM, and other warehouse management tools)
  • Lead workforce planning, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Support talent development through coaching, training, and participation in hiring processes
  • Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and ongoing training
  • Prepare and communicate operational reports, insights, and recommendations to leadership
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and frontline teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and performance

 

 

Experience & Education Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and manage change in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • High level of accountability, professionalism, and customer focus
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Exposure to warehouse conditions, including moving equipment and material handling traffic
  • May be exposed to food production ingredients and allergens in a manufacturing environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and programs, including Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Quality, Food Safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems (e.g., NQMS, ISO standards)

The approximate pay range for this position is $115,000.00 to $130,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
