Baker
Our Bakers are the foundation of our bakery program and such an integral part of A&C Super.
They are passionate about classic and creative pastries and care deeply about technique,
consistency and educating others about our offerings. Our bakers are also the first to open our
shop, so early morning drive and organization are key.

generations. Job Responsibilities
● Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, and rolls.
● Speaks with guests about bakery items, techniques and processes.
● Takes custom bakery orders, working with guests to confirm the date and order details.
● Decorates baked goods, cakes, and tarts using a pastry bag.
● Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, so that
ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to provided instruction.
● Measures or weighs flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, and fillings
using scales or graduated containers.
● Prepare garnishes as needed for baked goods.
● Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper
storage and refrigeration.
● Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and
rotating products.
● Performs daily checks and maintains all food safety measures to the standards of the
NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
● Lines up baked products in mobile carts according to the needs of the particular outlet or
function.
● Runs orders to seated guests.
● Runs and organizes orders for pickup, assisting guests with order inquiries as needed.
● Utilizes any and all leftovers into usable products.
● Cleans, breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including: ovens, mixers,
proofer, floors, freezer, and refrigerators. Job Qualifications

● Must be able to lift 50 pounds
● High school diploma or GED
● Preferably two (2) years of baking experience
● Current SERVSAFE certification or has successfully completed a sanitation course
within the past year
● Associate’s degree in hotel or institutional food preparation preferred
● Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
Compensation & Benefits
● $22 / hour
● 30-hour work week
● Paid weekly on Fridays
● 5 paid holidays
● PTO increases after 1 year of employment
