2027 Human Resources Summer Analyst Program (New York)
Summer Analysts join us for a 10 week program beginning in June for an intensive hands-on introduction to Human Resources at Morgan Stanley. Analysts can expect in-depth exposure to a specific Human Resources function, while gaining a broader understanding of the division.
TRAINING PROGRAMThe Summer Program includes but is not limited to one week of Firmwide and HR specific training, including exposure to each of our functional areas and to senior management. Throughout the Summer there are various trainings, speaker series, networking and educational events in order to be fully immersed in Human Resources and the Firm’s culture.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Partner with different HR teams to implement programs and initiatives designed to attract, retain and motivate employees.
- Create reports to provide compensation and headcount analytics information to management.
- Collaborate across the various HR teams to evaluate and reengineer processes to drive greater operational efficiency.
- Support client delivery teams with their business unit partnerships by assisting in employee relations investigations, and fielding client inquiries regarding Firm policies and procedures.
- Apply AI or other technical knowledge to streamline HR problems and processes that are unsolved or yet to be optimized.
- Obtain a broad understanding of the HR operating model and its departmental interdependencies.
- Present to HR senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- You are pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
- Eagerness to experiment with AI tools to streamline HR processes.
- A demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise to analysis, process improvement, or tool development.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, has great attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgment, and can handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills and can handle multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to streamline processes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Positive, can-do attitude, willingness to get the job done, proactive, motivated, and possess poise and self-confidence.
- Preferred majors: Human Resources Management, Finance, Business Management, Economics, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Communications or Psychology.
- While not required, candidates with coursework or academic backgrounds in the following fields may bring additional perspectives that strengthen their candidacy: Engineering, Information Science, Statistics, Coding / Programming or Computer Science

Expected base pay rate for the role will be $35.10 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
