The Senior Manager, Special Projects serves as a strategic partner to the EVP and SVP of Global Communications & Global Public Affairs (GCGPA). This is a hands-on role is responsible for delivering the team's highest-priority initiatives. The work requires an "owner" mentality, strong judgment, quick delivery, a strategic mindset across the entreprise and global team, exceptional writing, editorial precision, and broad communications expertise.

The Senior Manager is a multi-disciplinary communications strategist with fluency across multiple disciplines, including media, internal, executive, crisis, geopolitical and M&A communications. This individual must move confidently between strategy and execution, apply sound judgment in varied situations, be able to see around corners and anticipate challenges and adapt quickly to deliver as priorities shift.

A core responsibility is preparing the EVP for important meetings, presentations, and key company moments. The Senior Manager develops clear briefing materials, decision frameworks, and messaging that reflect her voice and GCGPA's priorities. The ability to distill complex information into concise, executive-ready materials is essential.

Positioned at the center of GCGPA, this role connects global teams, clarifies priorities, and ensures critical work advances with focus and discipline.

Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or related roles within a global, matrixed organization.

  • Communications agency experience strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured executive materials.

  • Fluency across media, internal and employee communications, executive communications, crisis and issues management, and M&A.

  • Experience preparing senior executives for high-stakes meetings, including drafting briefing memoranda and synthesizing complex information.

  • Experience building systems, templates, and workflows that improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • High emotional intelligence and discretion.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
