About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Norwich, New York, 13815!

• Shift: Night Shift
• Hours: 12‑hour shifts
• Schedule: 1900 – 0730
• Hours/Week: 36 hrs/week
• Days/Week: 3 days/week
• Weekends: Every other weekend

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients.
• Serve as primary/assigned nurse ensuring safety and quality.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Safely administer medications following UHS policies.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, hospital, and professional standards.
• Participate in shared governance (unit councils, improvement initiatives, peer reviews).
• Engage in ongoing professional education and required trainings.
• Integrate current nursing research and evidence‑based practice.
• Support orientation of new staff and students.
• Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties when assigned.
• Perform additional unit‑based responsibilities as needed.

Education Requirements

Required

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Required

• Active New York State Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Unit-specific certifications required:
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC

Preferred

• Professional certification in a related emergency nursing specialty

Required

• 2+ years Emergency Department (ED) experience

Preferred

• Previous acute care or ambulatory nursing experience
