Position:  Part-Time Live-Out Laundry Specialist (Temporary June–August or Potential Year-Round Role)
Schedule:  Approximately 3–4 days per week, about 6-hour days, with much flexibility in hours and scheduling!Â
Salary: Â $40/hour, flexible depending on experience!
Start Date:  May 29, 2026 (summer coverage ideally June–August, with possibility of a year-round positionÂ

About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family relocating from California to Locust Valley, NY is seeking a dedicated Laundry Specialist to support their large household during their move-in and beyond. They are settling into a fully renovated 13,000 sq. ft. residence. The family values professionalism, discretion, and long-term relationships with staff.

Children: Three children (ages 20, 18, and 15) – no childcare required
Home Size: 13,000 sq. ft. residence
Pets: Two friendly dogs (Goldendoodle and Cavapoo)
Household Staff: House Manager and Housekeepers

Responsibilities

• Full-service laundry care for a large family household during the summer months, less needed the other months
• Washing, folding, ironing, and organizing clothing, linens, and delicates
• Specialized care for high-end fabrics and wardrobe items
• Weekly bed linen changes and household linen management
• Maintaining organization of closets and laundry systems
• Supporting household presentation and readiness during busy summer months
• Flexibility to adjust workload during events, guests, and seasonal household activity
• Potential collaboration with housekeepers

Requirements

• Prior experience as a laundry specialist or in a high-end private household
• Strong references
• Comfortable with fine fabrics, designer clothing, and detailed garment care
• Flexible schedule availability (3–4 days/week)
• Professional, discreet, and dependable work ethic
• Uniform required (polos/khakis or similar provided by family)
