Captain / Lead Server

Saigon Social is a vibrant, community-driven Vietnamese restaurant located in the heart of the Lower East Side. We’re known for our bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a team that takes pride in delivering memorable dining experiences.

We’re currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and professional Lead Server to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career - combining excellent service with leadership, mentorship, and support for daily operations.

• 2+ years of NYC restaurant serving experience (fast-paced, full-service preferred)
• Proven ability to lead by example and support team members during service
• Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
• Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented in a high-volume environment
• Interest in growing into a management role
• Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine is a plus - but not required

• Provide knowledgeable, attentive, and polished service to every guest
• Act as a leader on the floor - helping guide service flow and supporting teammates
• Assist with training and mentoring new and existing staff
• Serve as a point of contact between the team and management during shifts
• Help manage service standards, ensuring consistency and excellence
• Support operational tasks such as opening/closing procedures and side work oversight
• Step in to resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-run section while supporting the overall dining room

• Part-time and full-time opportunities available
• Evening and weekend availability required
• Compensation includes hourly wage + tips (with growth opportunities)
