Warehouse Associate
Job Summary:
Sanico, a second-generation, family-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial and cleaning supplies. We are looking for a logistics and warehouse professional to join our burgeoning Syracuse operation. The Warehouse Associate plays an integral role in our warehouse operations by moving and managing inbound and outbound freight and facilitating the accurate and frequent turning of inventory.
Working under the supervision of the SYRACUSE WAREHOUSE MANAGER, and in collaboration with the branch warehouse team, the incumbent will handle tasks such as unloading trucks, receiving inventory (both physically and in the system), stocking inventory, picking orders, and loading trucks for outbound delivery. The position demands attentiveness to detail to ensure order ACCURACY to assure a positive customer experience. Warehouse experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. - Receipt of inbound inventory
- Stocking - received inventory expected to be rotated into stock on the day it is received
- Picking - of outbound orders
- Sanico Delivery Truck loading (night before or morning of)
- Support prep (pick/pack/ship) of 3rd-party deliveries
- Frequent moving of inventory utilizing a forklift or pallet jack
- Ad-hoc responsibilities:
- backup/swing driver (box truck or van)
- provide on-site support of dispenser installations in the region
Qualifications
- REQUIRED:
- warehouse experience
- own transportation
- valid driver's license
- pallet jack, hand truck experience
- history of solid attendance, minimal call-outs
- work shift flexibility
- able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
- a team focus and collaborative spirit
- PREFERRED:
- forklift experience/certification
- straight truck driving experience
- basic computer skills/ability to learn company inventory mgmt system
- Communicates clearly and constructively with peers & management

SHIFT : 0730-1600
RANGE: $18.00 - $22.00
