Warehouse Associate

Sanico is a second-generation, family-owned wholesale distributor specializing in janitorial and cleaning supplies. The Warehouse Associate is a key member of the Syracuse warehouse team, responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of inventory. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks, including receiving shipments, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing deliveries. Sanico is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is eager to contribute to a collaborative team and help maintain high standards of accuracy and service.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in inbound inventory shipments
• Stock newly received inventory promptly, ensuring proper rotation
• Pick outbound orders for both local and out-of-town deliveries
• Load Sanico delivery trucks for outbound shipments
• Assist with pick, pack, and ship of e-commerce orders and deliveries sent via third-party carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS)
• Move inventory using pallet jacks or forklifts
• Support additional warehouse tasks as needed, including acting as a backup driver (box truck or van) and assisting with off-site dispenser installations

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred; willing to train motivated candidates
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience with pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Ability to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible with work shifts as needed
• Strong attendance record and reliability
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Preferred: Forklift experience or certification
• Preferred: Experience driving straight trucks
• Preferred: Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $18.00 – $22.00
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
